New To the Group

hello. I had surgery last May. I have been doing pretty good but have noticed in the last couple months the weight loss has almost halted. I had the sleeve and although I'm only about 25 pounds from my goal weight...I was told I would likely exceed my goal within the first year. I am trying not to become discouraged so I thought I would see if this is common. I look forward to hearing any and all input.

Thanks
Sonya

Hi Sonya!!! WELCOME to the Forum!!! Losing weight after surgery is an individual matter depending on our metabolism, our menu, our exercise and the amount of food we consume. You're only 19 lb from goal weight. Surely you will easily make that in the next 3 months. You have done very well!!! Good Luck!

Hello Sonya,

Welcome to the site. Congrats on doing such a great job. Keep your head up I have read here on this site about people hitting plateaus. You will break though that and reach your goal weight. Keep up the great work. Keep us posted. Good Luck.

How closely are you watching your food intake? I suggest recording every thing you put in your mouth for at least 2 weeks to see if there are some hidden calorie-busters in your daily meal plan.
Also, remember about liquid calories. Sodas, sweet teas, alcohol, etc. can really up your caloric intake.
