My name is Karen. I've been thinking about WLS for about a year. My insurance company will not pay one nickel but that has not changed my mind. I meet with the surgeon and dietician in 2 weeks. The plan is to have gastrc sleeve surgery in mid-December. I want to have plenty of time to get prepared for work in early January (I'm a accountant and slammed in January). I have been reading the blogs and anything I can get my hands on. I have started a food journal so I can see what I'm eatng (right or wrong) so far. I'm back at the gym to get a head start. Does anyone have any specific books that helped you? I found a "Dummies WLS Cookbook" and think I will order to get even more info. I love the way yall support one another.
