Welcome Aranda, Congrats on your surgery date. Life will change, but it will be for the better. There will be days when you question why you're doing this, but trust me, it will be worth it. We here to help, listen or to give you a virtual hug, whatever you need.

Please tell your husband, thank you for serving. I did 20 in the Air Force and I know the sacrifices both you and he make.

Good morning Aranda,

Welcome to the Forum where the members are friendly and willing to help as much as they can. Your feelings are quite normal but you will find the journey well worth it. There is a wealth if information and experience here. Come back often and keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks to you and your husband for your service. Spouses also serve in their own way. Military brat and wife here and I know how much you sacrifice along with your hubby.

hi Aranda, Welcome. Sounds like you are going through the same emotions most of us have felt so hang on because it does tend to feel like an emotional rollercoaster at times:eek: Everything will be ok, try and go to some local support groups if you can, that way you can meet some people close to home that you can talk to and if your husband can go with you that would be great because it will be a change for him too and he can talk with other spouses to find out what they have done to help and make things easier. Hang in there and come back to let us know how you are doing or just to vent if you need to. Tom

Marine Wife-Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your decision to have WLS. It's perfectly normal to have a rush of emotions before and even after surgery. Almost everyone on this forum has gone through this. I would ve concerned if you weren't feeling what you are feeling right now. You are always welcome to discuss how you are feeling or whatever else is on your mind on this forum. Looking forward to "seeing" you around.
