Just joined and learning the ropes of this site. I have my first DR's appointment Aug 24th, 2015 for my evaluation. I'm so excited...and scared too, but I'm ready to get healthy again and be able to enjoy life. I'm a 51 yof from northeast TN. Go VOLS!!!

CONGRATULATIONS on your decision to have weight loss surgery! It will put you on the road to a healthier life. It's quite normal to be scared of surgery yet really excited and happy all at the same time. Just do your homework and Google your doctor and hospital. The doctor should be a "Surgeon Of Bariatric Excellence" and the hospital should be a "Hospital of Bariatric Excellence". These titles give you the best chance of having no complications with your surgery.
