Persistent Gas after Bypass Surgery

Had gastric bypass Dec. 2 a.m. Been having excruciating gas pains every since. Any suggestions? I have tried walkin, walking, walking, no luck passing gas. I'm miserable. Any help would be most appreciated.

I think we responded in another thread started by you.

The gas pain will go away. Yes, it can be painful.

The gas is trying to get out post op. They do pump you up with all kinds of gas during the operation. You will have stomach pains , back pains and shoulder pains.

It does subside. It goes away in about two weeks or so completely.

Best wishes,

Ralph

Thanks Ralph. I have finally started having relief from this awful pain. Had it in my left shoulder blade. Laparoscopic surgery is a great thing, too bad they can't eliminate this horrible pain afterwards. I see you have achieved your goal weight, congratulations.
