Post Op roller coaster

I had surgery on 2/11/2025 and for the most part, things seemed to be going okay. The other night I had something that did not agree with my new stomach and I was up all night throwing up. UGH! It still hurts to drink anything if I drink too fast but I took a step back with my food and am only doing full liquids right now until it feels better. My biggest thing right now is I have A LOT of burning and stretching pain in my lower left abdomen and in the middle. Have others experienced this? Ice has helped but I am getting a little tired of this burning. It is so painful if I stretch that area; it is legit like it is on fire!

I also had an umbilical hernia repaired and mesh put on it to hold it. I noticed today that I can feel a small marble like ball where the hernia is, is this normal?

You need to get in to see your medical team, your surgeon, and ask your nutritionist what might be causing this, then subtract the food from your daily diet.

A friend of mine had gastric bypass surgery in Canada and started facing post-op issues a few years later. He wasn’t sure what to do, but I think he found help through PlacidWay and ended up consulting a doctor in Tijuana. It really helped him get back on track. Has anyone else dealt with post-op struggles?
