Hi angee you have ever right to be concerned about sagging skin. I call my arms "bat wings " because of the sagging skin underneath when you look at them from the side view they are thin( for the first time in many years) but all the years of carrying around the extra fat has left them withalot of sagging skin. Starting to show some in my stomach too and the upper part of my legs. Iam hoping that riding the exercise bike and walking will improve the leg issues. Yes insurance covers skin removal if they deceide it
is causing skin irritations or yeast infections in those area's. I know alot of people paid out of pocket money to have the extra skin removed. Don't have that kind of money so i am gonna have to rely on exercise. I know one lady at a support group meeting i went to before surgery told me, if you want tolook good naked then don't have the surgery she was referring to the weight loss surgery. Well i am not trying to impress anyone with this body just want to feel good and be healthy i have no desire for anyone to see this body underessed, you're younger than me so you'll probably do alot better when it comes to sagging skin cause your youth will be on your side. I'm 56 so i've had years of bad food choices and not exercising etc that caused my excessive skin. Stick to your plan others may not understand your concerns but all of us whom have had the surgery understand what you are going through. This room is a great place to vent and get your ? Answered. Hang in there and remember you're doing the surgery for you and you are important. Others will be jealous of how great you look and you can credit yourself for all the hard work and effort you've put into becomming the person you want to be.
