Starting Over

It has been over 11 years since my gastric bypass surgery. I did very well, with little to no problems. I can eat
just about anything. I have always kept my weight at no more than 5 pounds over my 168 goal range. I now find
that I am slowly gaining weight and wonder if I can lose these extra 10 pounds I have put back on. I am now on meds for a past heart attack, and cancer, and iron insufficiency. Are there any suggestions to help me get control before I get out of control? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

WOW you did amazing for the past 11 years. I don't know what to say about those ten pounds other than a question; What did your doctor say?
Welcome to the board and I can't wait to hear more of your story.

Welcome to the board and congrats on the weight loss and keeping it off for 10+ years. You may want to consider the 5-Day Pouch Test. There is a link to it from the home page. It should help you refocus on your eating and doing it right.

I had an upper GI today. Found that I have a hernia at the esophagus and pouch junction. There might be a small leak. I am going to my daughters dr.(she had the sleeve 8 months ago) and see if anything has to be done or can be done. I am a bit confused with it all, but everything has been fine until now. Have to get an appointment soon and find out what can be done. Thanks for the thoughts. Oh, I did order the 5day pouch kit and some protein drinks. I know I don't get enough of it, haven't for the 11+ years.

Shalomaz, you are inspiration to me. To know that you've been successful for 11 years it great. I do know that I always have to be careful that I don't allow bad habits to creep back in. Let us know what the Doc says and if the pouch test is helpful.
