Surgery date set for December 17, 2012

I got my surgery date last Wednesday and was placed on my pre-op diet 2 1/2 weeks ago already, my surgeon wanted me on the pre op diet for a minimum of 4weeks before surgery which kind of stinks but over all its going ok.

Kim-Congratulatios on your surgery date YIKES...I can't imagine having to be on the pre-op diet for 4 weeks. You must be a stong willed lady to have such a positive attitude. Make sure to come back to the forum to let us know how you are doing.

Congratulations!!! My surgery date is also Dec 17th.
But, here we are only on the pre-op diet for 2 days, although I personally will do it for 3 days. Then it is NPO after 11:00 pm on the 16th.

I will be more nervous the last part of next week. Pre-op testing to do next week. Busy, plus will try and get my Christmas stuff done.

I hope all is going well with you. Things will be fine for us. Just remember to follow your Team's instructions to the letter-remember there is a reason to the way they have it.

PS-Hey, I lived in Wisconsin a few years ago. Well actually in 2001. Madison, WI I worked at UW Hospital there.

Pro op diet

I've actually have been on my preop diet already for 3 weeks today. My surgeon wanted me on it for at least 4 weeks before surgery.

Pre op class

I go in for a two hour pre op class this afternoon at the hospital then my pre op physical on Tuesday with my pcp then my last weigh in at the surgeons office on Wednesday 12/12. And then it's surgery day. I'm getting nervous but I'm also excited to have it done finally.
