Ok, I cant believe I'm saying this, but I'm 2 years post op from rny. My highest weight was 326, 316 day of surgery. My goal weight was 160. I'm at 140, but some days 136. I do forget to take my vitamins sometimes. I eat whatever I want that my pouch will tolerate, but mostly balanced. Protien first, salads with spinach , nuts and boiled eggs, veggies, some whole grain, protein shakes to supplement. Switched to whole milk. Sometimes I do have to remind myself to eat, but other days I'm hungry and grazing all day. I am literally skin and bones. Any advice?

I wish I had your problem. If you are talking about maintaining your weight or adding a little, you have to know precisely your calorie intake and calorie expenditure. Then it is an act of balancing the two or slightly tipping the scales one way or the other. Your intake is simply measuring your food by calories, the tricky part is measuring your calorie expenditure, I would use a Calorie Burn Calculator, and here is a link to a good one: http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc.

Of course you are going to have to change the way you consume food, carbohydrates will become first, then fat and then protein. Eating continuously throughout the day is the second strategy, do both until your daily intake equals your expenditure and you find balance. then fine tune the procedures until you reach and maintain the weight you desire.

You still need to take your vitamin and mineral supplements, this is a lifetime commitment.

You need too exercise a great deal of control, on how you go about this. balance is the key word here and seeking a dietician's advice and counseling is always recommended.
