preparing for surgery

Hi, Kristan here.. just starting the process of my surgery. Have to do a 6month prep..a little scared out of my mind... I'm wondering if you have any suggestions on prepping my life for this change?

Would like to get some feedback on what people took with them to the hospital to make their post surgery recovery time comfortable. What did you pack...and what did you wish..you had thrown in your suitcase.
