I had a gastric bypass in 1999 lost over 120 pounds with no regret. I am starting to gain wait slowly so I having my pouch checked and may have to have a revision or a lap band done.
Has anyone had a revision done?
I had the lapband and after it broke after 10 years. My Dr. sent me to a specialist in Chicago (though the specialist had never seen one broken, he was anxious to fix this) and it was re-connected without any problems (they make a fix-it kit for lap bands...I didn't know that). I've never, ever experienced any other problems with the band, and when I found myself gaining weight, I joined Weight Watchers (WW) so I could learn so better eating habits. I'm still using the "keys" and found them helpful. Here's a funny...I tried to get a job with WW and they won't hire me because the bulk of my weight loss occurred with bariatric surgery and they feel that divides my loyalty. lol. I'm loyal to both because both programs have made me into a new woman!I had a gastric bypass in 1999 lost over 120 pounds with no regret.
