Hi Linda congrats on your surgery & best of luck to you as you begin your journey. I had my RnY surgery on July 11th. My dr prescribed Colace 2X daily, but I had no success. Finally on Saturday I mixed 2 spoonfuls of Benefiber with about 4 oz of Gatorade Zero. Absolutely no taste, grit, etc. Yesterday I finally went! Yay Woohoo! So I'm gonna continue Benefiber every day. It really worked for me. Hope you have a smooth road ahead. This group is so supportive, informative, & nonjudgmental.
