Beginning my journey

I don’t have a surgery date yet but it will be some time this summer. I am also bipolar and my biggest fear is that my medications will be mal-absorbed after surgery and won’t work as well. Are there any post-surgery bipolar people out there who would want to share their experiences?

I'm bipolar and OCD. I was concerned about my meds but I could take them the morning of surgery and then in pieces afterward. I had to stay in the hospital 4 days and didn't have my meds that whole time. On the 4th day I told them hey, I have to go home. I need my meds. Luckily I was able to swallow on day 4 and was able to leave and start taking my meds. I haven't had to alter my meds thankfully!
