Thank you for this, Judy. I'm going to edit some of these to be more specific to my struggle and make a card I can keep with me. You know how much I believe in affirmations. But like so many who were chronically, even criminally, abused by my mom, I need intense, constant reminders just to stay alive.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I needed to immerse myself into the holiday weekend. It felt good even though it was a lot of effort. Sometimes we just need to step back and take time for ourselves. I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was enjoyable. As we go into this very busy time of year, remember this and do whatever you need to for self-care....

Amen to this. Found out the hard way this past week when I had carbs galore, made me feel so bloated (like crap!) afterwards. Thank goodness I don't have to face that again until next year.
