OMG!!! Today is the day!

It is 5:30 in the morning and I can't sleep. I have the Bariatric Sleeve Procedure in 3 1/2 hrs. I'm really nervous and excited!! So I decided to get on my computer and look for some support groups that I'm sure I will need in the very near future. I found you guys. Now I'm new to this forum and thread kinda thing, but I'm a fast learner. Can anyone give me an idea in what I'm in store for right after surgery?

welcome to this room "blackjack20"
i just read your post and you've had your surgery by now, today. I am still awaiting my surgery date, but from what others say on here, as long as you follow all the instructions from your dr.& nutrionist you'll do good.
Your healthy journey has just began, happy for you,
will say a prayer for you a fast recovery.
Come back when you feel like talking, everyone here is willing to help there fellow-person.

Congrats on getting thru the surgery. How are you feeling. Hope all is well. My surgery is tomorrow (RNY) and I can't wait. Hang in there... it's all good from here out. You'll do fantastic. Here's to a health long life!!! Cheers.

Hi everyone!! just a little update. Surgery was on 4/20...so 10 days ago... I feel great! I won't lie, the first 4 days, I was wondering what I had done and why did I make the hugest mistake of my life. Everyday the pain was less and less. Now I'm back to work (don't worry - no lifting) I am a poker dealer in one of the casinos on the Las Vegas Strip (i'm not going to say which one)! Newbeginnings - good luck, everything will be fine and just remember everyones pain tolerance is difference. Me, don't like pain so I think I was a baby. But everyday will get a little easier.

Blackjack-Glad you are doing well. I love the strip! I learned how to play roulette at the Silver Slipper back in the 80's. Keep us posted on your progress.
