Interesting, I guess the grease or something might not sit well with some stomachs. It's all so individual.I really have a hard time with fast food. We went on a 2 week road trip from San Diego back to Chicago area and so I tried quite a few, but almost all fast food makes me sick. I can eat some of an egg mcmuffin. I get a kids cheese quesadilla with carnitas added at Chipotle.
I like Wendy's chili, I forget that they have that sometimes! That's good that In n Out and Carl's jr does lettuce wrapped. I don't have any of those around me! I know restaurants will, but that's good for fast food.Taco Bell a taco or two,Del Taco a crunchtada, Wendys Chili,IN n Out and Carl’s Jr. lettuce wrapped hamburger. Any pizza one or two slices maybe
I understand, thanks for sharing because I didn't even think of it being a trigger for someone. It has been over a year since I ordered anything from a fast food restaurant other than I did get a vanilla cone with my daughter. It's not that I'm righteous or want to look like it, but fast food was a major part of my obesity and an incredibly big trigger for me. I don't trust myself to be moderate, small stomach or not. I used to go through a drive-through and order two meals, with two drinks with the idea that although I was only ordering for myself it would look like I was ordering for someone else....like the drive-through people cared at all. It was just me, mind screwing myself.
Of course, it helps a lot now that I am not eating meat, as that narrows things down quite a bit. Taco Bell has bean options for everything, but now that I'm out of the habit going through, I just don't want to start again. There are a couple of places offering beyond or impossible burgers, but it doesn't seem worth it, given my history.
I am not knocking ANYONE for going through a drive-through. They are convenient and you can do things as people have mentioned like going bun-less or ordering certain items. They just scare the shit out of me now, because I don't want to go backward, and that's my issue, not everyone is in the same boat though.
I can relate so much to what you say about fast food places triggering my overeating. We have one long street I have nicknamed "Fast Food Avenue" bc it has the majority of those along one main road in town, on both sides of the street. It has been over a year since I ordered anything from a fast food restaurant other than I did get a vanilla cone with my daughter.
