October 30 day (+1) Challenge

Day 9
Tracking -
no
Water - yes
Gratitude - I am grateful for my family. Today they are going up to see my mom, which gives me a free day. That might not be why they're doing it but it still frees me up. So, I am going to see my baby cousin play at a coffeeshop nearby. She is a musician (and music teacher). She recently moved back into the area and I am excited to see her play. She is also the one who recently had the sleeve so I am looking forward to seeing how well she's done!
Movement - yes. I have stolen Karen's dancing around the house as a part of my cleaning and putting away grocery routines. It adds a fun element that those chores are usually missing. Yesterday, I my vacuum charmed me with all the smooth moves. The mop still needs some work lol

Day 9

Food: still not enough protein (gonna start back on at least 1 protein shake daily), but lots of veggies - spinach (love canned, always have), hummus, Wendy's chili with extra salsa added
Water: 64 oz
Movement: 35 min walk
Gratitude: having a beautiful riverfront park nearby. We have the beautiful Ohio River; yesterday we saw families picnicking, people on benches smiling & saying hello, and a lovely day of perfect weather to enjoy. :)

Oh I just love water of any kind, be it the ocean, lake, pond or river! That sounds marvelous Karen, enjoy!!!

Day 9 - Saturday

Tracking -
Sadly again, no but I am today.
Water - I was way over on water, so at least that is good.
Movement - No formal exercise but I got my steps in with just household chores

Gratitude - My daughter and her boyfriend came and helped bring all the outdoor stuff in for the season which was a big relief for my husband. That kind of stuff is getting to be too much for him anymore, so we really appreciate the help.

Day 10

Tracking -
no
Water - no - I was at the coffee shop all day so .. lots of coffee. I'm not even sure I met my water goal with flavored water.
Gratitude - I am grateful for my mother in law. She is Italian and makes aaahhh-mazing pasta sauce. It simmers all day, with sausage and homemade meatballs. She uses fresh breadcrumbs & herbs. YUM. And she makes it for us every few weeks and sends it over, for our dinners with my son and his g/f.
Movement - Yes. I am still trying to make sure that I'm not standing still. If I'm up, I step side to side. If I'm sitting, I lift my legs, stretch my feet whatever I can think of to do to keep myself in motion.

Day 10 - Sunday

Protein -
68
Calories - 735 (Yes, that is all! I woke up very late yesterday at 11 am and my whole day was behind. I guess even my eating! Maybe I should do that more often!!!
Water - 73

Gratitude - I am grateful for today's technology, specifically Zoom. My siblings and I do a weekly zoom hour and since we live states apart, it is a great way to keep in touch with each other all at once.

Day 10

Water:
74 oz
Food: still more Wendy's chili; protein trail mix, forgot to drink a protein shake
Exercise: not much movement
Weekly weigh-in: down 1.6 lbs; total weight loss 44.4!

Gratitude: so glad to spend time with my BFF Sunday. We couldn't hang out last week after she had a Covid scare (luckily her test came back negative). She really keeps me grounded and I cherish her friendship.

October Day 11

Calories
: 595
Protein: 80 g
Water: 90 oz
Exercise: Two Okie walks, for a total of 2.3 miles!
Gratitude: Today I'm grateful for Okie walks, which provide not only exercise and fresh air, but also are a great source of much needed socialization for me. Today while playing ball with Okie we met a group of three strangers who stopped to watch Okie play, and of course asked about his breed and commented on how adorable he is! They were shocked to learn he was not a puppy! Okie is truly a therapy dog for me! Here is a picture taken a few minutes ago! He just jumped up into my lap a few hour ago while we were watching TV, and just got comfy. He always makes me smile.
