Good luck today for your surgery. Praying everything goes well. Keep us updated!

    Wow....not wasting any time....

Like Ms. Becky said, it's just part of the process. The psychiatrist told me that what they conclude doesn't affect the decision of the insurance company. Then after that, with all the tests, they said I passed. Good luck! You'll do just fine.

    Aloha

Welcome to the group! Good luck with your surgery! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. Most likely at least one person is experiencing, or has experienced, the same thing.

    9Month Post-Opp... He said WHAT?!

I'm 5'6" and my doc says 155 is normal. But he asked me first what I wanted to be. I said between 175 and 200. He said that was realistic and he was relieved that someone would be honest with themselves. He said, though, that most likely I'll lose more than that and potentially gain some back...

    young adults ?

I'm 33 and I wish that I had done the surgery much sooner than I did. I agree with Karenina, though. A lot of us have some similarities with issues experienced. We can all relate to things that you're going through. :-)

    NEW! Hello from Sunny California!

Welcome! Sounds like you are doing well. I had my surgery 2/25/13 and regret nothing. I'm down 70 lbs since surgery and am enjoying a more active, healthier life.

    Hypoglycemia

I had it BEFORE my surgery. But haven't had any issues since. I eat four meals and have two snacks. This has helped the issue to stabilize.

    NSA, Non-Scale-Victories

That is awesome, Frank! There are many things that I would like to try. I use to have great anxiety on ladders, of all things, even step ladders. I wasn't afraid of heights, I was afraid of falling. Now I jump up on them no problem. I'm looking forward to fitting in a plane seat like I fit into...

    Pooping...

For a couple months post surgery I would go once a week. But my body was still getting use to my new diet. Believe me, it wasn't without difficulty. Now, I make sure I'm eating my protein and drinking plenty of water.

    4 month milestone

Congratulations on your weight loss! I'm almost five months out myself and am enjoying wearing smaller clothes. I lost a lot of hair from month three to four. For about five weeks I lost a good amount of hair. But I was taking hair, skin, and nails which has biotin in it. I think it really...

    After a lot of stress....

Congratulations on getting a date! It takes a lot of hard work to get to that point. But it's all worth it. You are so close to the new you!

    slight burning sensation

Has this happened to anyone else? Just about every time I eat, I get a burning sensation in my pouch. Doesn't matter what I eat. It's with everything, even my protein shakes! It doesn't happen when I drink water. Just when anything else enters the pouch. It's been going on for just over a week...

    CPAP question

I have been using a cpap machine for the last year since being diagnosed with sleep apnea. I had RNY surgery almost 4 months ago. Since my surgery, I've notice problems/issues in using the machine. I'll be able to wear it some nights but not without waking several times in the night. Other times...
