    Mad

I am very mad at the people who work in my surgeon's office. Since I started going there I have told them that I am having a hard time deciding if I will have surgery. In March the dr said we should get everything approved but schedule the surgery a few months out. Because he knows I am unsure...

    Not sure what to do.

I have been approved for Gastric Sleeve surgery. Not sure if I want to have surgery. The only reason I am considering it is because of my Diabetes. I cannot loose a serious amount of weight because of the amount of insulin I have to take (180 units of short acting down from 300 a year ago) and...

    Sleeve VS. Full Bypass

I am also trying to decide between the sleeve and bypass. Why would someone choose the sleeve over the bypass? The weight loss is secondary over improving my diabetes. I would rather loose weight slow and concerned about vitamin deficiency. The more I read about the different surgeries the more...

    Scared

Hi I have not been approved yet for surgery but already scared about the pre surgery diet, about the loose skin, how I am going to look. I know the surgery will help my Diabetes & make me smaller. What about the cons? Sores from the loose skin, being able to be comfortable in clothes. What if...

Hello Everyone, My name is Marie

Have you tried a Recumbent exercise bike? This type of bike is like sitting in a chair and your legs are out in front of you (I cannot reach the pedals on regular exercise bikes, LOL). I found mine on Craigslist but, you can get them for a little over a hundred at some retail stores.

    Vitamins, protein suggestions, etc.

I was told there are vitamins especially for people who have had weight loss surgery. Your nutritionist can give you a list of what they are and where to buy them. I was told hospital pharmacy but, I think some specialty vitamins shops may have them also.

    Question for the women.

Question for all the women. I have heard that for a lot of women it is necessary to wear undergarments to hold in the stomach & keep it smooth to look good in clothes. Between buying new clothes as I loose weight and buying undergarments it is going to be expensive (at least for me). I was...

Don't know how I am going to handle the 2 weeks post op liquid diet, really worried. All I keep hearing is people say "it will be worth it", "you will...

Having a problem with protein drinks.

Thank you. I did not know about the unflavored protein. Several people have told me their taste buds changed. Does anyone know why that happens?
