I have never liked my surgeon, but after meeting with him yesterday I dislike him even more. I explained to him about the pain in my legs and numbness in one foot. He never left his chair and said"you have nueropothy". He goes on to tell me he did not operate on that part of my body. I respond I did not have it 3 weeks ago. He fianlly gets up and examines my lower legs and mumbles that I don't have edema. I suggest that there may be a deficency and he disagrees. His PA steps in and thank goodness suggests we order some bloodwork. He reluctantly does so. I am waiting for results. I just called the office and she said she did not get the results back yet and will call me when they come back. I came home and searched the net for WLS and nueropothy and thousands of articles come up. I hardly slept at all last night. I had the surgery to improve my health so I could continue to work. I have now had to postpone my return date to work until I find out what is going on. Has anyone experienced nueropothy after surgery?
