Hello Cynthia,
That post of mine was last year, just after my gastric sleeve. It's been 19 months since my surgery and I've never had any rapid weight loss. It's been slow but steady and I am now down 95 pounds and very proud and happy. I have about 30 more pounds to go and I expect it will take...
It's been months since I posted. My progress has been slow but steady and I'm delighted that I've done so well. I am now down 90 pounds! I'm still following the same routines so I hope to eventually meet my goal. I'll be moving soon to New Orleans from Florida. I will have to stay vigilant as...
So I'm 255 days out. I've been going thru a 12 week treatment to rid myself from hep c and it has been a hard road to travel. I have continued with my eating regimens but the exercise has had to go by the wayside until these drugs get out of my system. I have less than a week left to go and my...
Just a quick follow up......I'm 62 days out and have lost a grand total of 14 lbs since the surgery. No speedy weight loss for me! I'm remaining on tract and continuing in the right direction, just slowly....
I have a new goal to add to this one - I'll be taking the new oral treatment to...
I've been eating poached eggs (they're moister than scrambled) and the greek yogurt makes me gag. I'm still struggling - have only lost 8 lbs in 39 days.
I'm 25 days post sleeve and still have only lost 6 lbs since surgery. I've been following the rules closely..
I saw the surgeon this week and he says my body is in "starvation mode". According to him I've not been eating enough calories. I've been under 500 daily. I must increase to 900...
Cindy, girl you give me hope! Finally someone whose initial journey resembled mine. I'll try to chill out and just stay with the program. Thanks so much!
Hi Cheyenne,
Remember I had the sleeve surgery so I'm assuming my stomach is larger than a bypass stomach. I asked his assistant and she said 2 oz., which I can't believe. I was told (by the nut.) to eat slowly with small bites, and limit the time to 30 minutes.
Stop before you feel...
:(
I am today eleven days post sleeve surgery, and still waiting for the "great pound melting" I've heard about to begin. I have lost a grand total of 4 pounds! I AM SO DISCOURAGED!
My surgery went well. No serious issues at all. I have had no problems getting protein in and...
Hello gibby4, :D
I have gone through my surgery very well. I stopped the Ibuprophen 4 days before the day of surgery and as you can imagine, I was pretty miserable. (I was amazed how much difference the med makes again.) I spoke to the surgeon before my discharge and asked about starting...
Hi Cheyenne! Yes, that is the reason my surgeon said the sleeve was the best choice for me.
gibby4,
I really think you should not have to go without your preferred meds. Do you have a pre-existing problem with your stomach? Inflammation, ulcers etc? If not, I would have another conversation...
It seems that my surgeon and yours have a difference of opinion. My surgery is this Wed. and he's allowing me to take it until Sunday (tomorrow). He's allowing me to resume it only a few days after surgery. I'm going to double check with him again before resuming after surgery. (Your post has me...
Hi gibby4, I am having the sleeve done next week, and am curious as to why you are not allowed to take Ibuprofen yet. I was assuming I would be able to soon after the surgery. ( The surgeon used that as a reason he chose the sleeve for me instead of the bypass.) I also struggle with Fibro and...
This seems to be a really dumb question, I guess, but does anybody have a good system for keeping track of the fluid you're taking in? I'm just starting my pre-surgery fluid diet. I need to keep the water iced and it seems to complicate it. (Make sense?). :p
Secondly, is anyone concerned...
Question for Cheyenne
Cheyenne, I was reading one of your other posts recommending Aragon oil. Would you tell me where is the best place to get it for the best price? Sounds like a worthwhile purchase for me. Thanks. :o
